At Highland, we are devoted to empowering communities. We believe that youth engagement is a key factor; and, aim to create valuable employment opportunities for them in Churachandpur based on their competency.

 
The Highland team is composed of a group of young people from varied backgrounds.  Yes, we are young, but we are motivated and keen to contribute our bit for the development of our hometown and district. Our dream is to build a sustainable future. We aim to achieve that goal by helping communities to increase control over their lives by renegotiating power using the services we provide through our team.

Samte Lian (S Nengvanglian), Co-Founder, is an Architect by profession with 4+ years of experience in different types and/or scale of projects. Alongside ‘The Highland Group’ he also runs his Architectural Consultancy Firm ‘KAM Architects’. Imagination, Innovation, and expression are key to his Creative Skill. He invariably reckons that there’s a way to resolving life’s challenges to the nitty-gritty.

Communications Manager

Suanlian is a freelance Graphic and Website Designer with more than 5 yrs of experience. Apart from designing, and handling our website, he takes charge as our social media accounts adviser too. When he’s not in front of a computer screen, Suanlian likes to travel and amuses himself with photography.

As Project Associate of The Highland Group, Cindy leads, and monitors the Highland team through projects and activities. She is a Sociologist, and an experienced Lecturer. Aside from being a Highlander, Cindy is also a self-published author and blogger who is passionate about the environment, and committed to empowering the voiceless.

Paubiakmuang is a founding member at The Highland Group. He is a B.Com (Hons) graduate, and is the ex-president of a student organization—SSPP, Delhi JHQ. He is passionate about his work and motivated too. The challenges in life are what keeps him going.

She loves meeting new people & learning new skills. She’s a woman with ambition & a Girl with a strong desire to explore new places & believe in helping people.

Louminthang Ngaihte @Loloff, is an intern at THG where he is given the opportunity to be a part of the change initiator. Loloff graduated from St. Edmund’s College in Shillong Meghalaya with a B.Sc in Physics. He values working in challenging environment, and considers it a stepping stone to a brighter future. During his free time, he enjoys talking over a cup of coffee.
