Highland Auxiliary COVID Service

As the second wave of COVID-19 hit the town of Churachandpur, the Highland Team felt the need to step in to relieve the burden of the community and the healthcare system. With this determination, Highland Group joined the fight against COVID-19 and has been taking an active role in responding and supporting the matter at different capacities and working in close coordination with the office of the District Commissioner, Churachandpur and Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Churachandpur.

LAMKA LOCAL PROJECT

This survey sheds light on consumer perceptions of local/ lose milk with the many dairy alternatives now available in Churachandpur. The objective of this study was to investigate milk consumption and preferences in the study area households using the data from the survey. It illustrates why consumers purchase a particular type of milk, barriers to purchase, and drivers of choice for milk type.

Churachandpur Street Vendor Socio-Economic Assessment Study

This project aims in identifying and mapping networks of trade where street vendors are engaged in, building Vendor collectives and establishing community and state engagements for community empowerment

'THIS IS LAMKA' visual HISTORY

‘This Is Lamka’ is a digital archiving project with a primary objective of preserving the visual history and narrative of the ‘Zo’ people from Manipur and beyond, from photographic evidence that are surviving and are in the danger of disappearing or lost. The project was supported by The British Council Heritage Grant for South Asia and a photo exhibition was held titled ‘The Town Between the Hills: A Photo Exhibition on the Visual History of Lamka’ at District Library, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur from 8-10 April, 2021.
